Be the Reason They Play Our programs can’t run without volunteers, and right now, we need coaches. If you’ve ever thought about helping out, this is your moment. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to show up, encourage kids, and be part of something that matters. Volunteer coaches receive a 50% discount for one participant, but more importantly, you help make these programs possible. Without volunteers, these programs simply don’t run. Step up, get involved, and be the reason a child gets to play. To register or learn more, visit www.burksfalls.net, contact Tara at recreation@burksfalls.ca, or call 705-382-3138 ext. 231.

The Return of Pete the Bear Something special is coming back to Burk’s Falls… Pete the Bear is making his return! A new carving is currently in the works, bringing fresh life to one of our community’s most loved icons. Many will remember the original carving in Stan Darling Park as a favourite photo stop, and now, a new version is being created to carry that tradition forward. This isn’t just a replacement. It’s a
chance to celebrate a piece of Burk’s Falls history, honour a story that has been part of our community for generations, and create something new for residents and visitors to enjoy. Stay tuned for more details, including the official unveiling later this year. You won’t want to miss it.
